Last week, many young boys bid farewell to their ponytails on Lag Ba’Omer, while their mothers may have shed a tear (or ten).

Ironically, those same mothers may be looking for a good solution for the summer right now – a hairstyle that will be modest by stylish, work-appropriate, simcha-to-carpool, cool but also actually cool – and keep her from struggling with the summer heat. Well, how about the ponytail?

First up: the Ponytail. Yep, it’s not the most prestigious hairstyle of the bunch and many view it as a last resort when you can’t seem to find time to give your sheitel a blowout.
